PR Strategist

Overview

We are looking for hands on leader that is willing to help us build out and grow awesomize.me. The individual will direct our digital strategic marketing campaigns, determine objectives and expectations, scope of work, timelines and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed scopes of work
• Create strategic digital marketing campaigns
• Generate campaign benchmarks, project reports and case studies
• Serve as primary liaison between marketing and engineering groups and have the ability to communicate complex ideas across the two groups
• Spreading the words about awesomize.me through the Web, universities, and social media channels.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree, a must
• 4+ years of online marketing experience

Internship Positions

This position is perfect for a self-starting student or recent graduate with an interest in social media, technology and communications space. You will help awesomize.me to build community and gain support through our site and fan pages, blogging, and more.

In this unique opportunity as an Intern you will:

• Work alongside the Executive Director to generate traffic.
• Laying the groundwork for a communications/marketing plan (Managing FB pages/network, Twitter network, set up/design blog, google alerts/RSS feeds, brainstorm newsletter ideas, logo/template work).
• Assist with various data entry projects.
• Help disseminate compelling program content through social media.
• Increase awesomize.me's social media profile.
• Help to manage campaigns for programs and community outreach.

Internship start and end dates can be adjusted to fit your schedule. We require a 5-20 hour commitment per week during the internship.

Senior Software Developer

We are looking for a top notch senior developer who has experience working on high scalability systems. The ideal candidate will be extremely passionate about solving large scale problems.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design and implementation of our core product features.
• Managing a meticulous development pipeline.
• Producing software designs and development frameworks.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 6+ years of industry experience.
• Deep expertise with client-side web technologies such as: HTML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript (AJAX, jQuery a plus), and DOM or native mobile applications.
• Expert-level experience working with object oriented frameworks (Ruby on Rails,Python,PHP)
• Experience with one or more Relational Databases Systems with knowledge of normalization, SQL, Query Optimization, Referential Integrity, constraints, functions, stored procedures.
• Experience with version control systems.
• Experience with social network api integration.
• Experience with high-performance systems.
• Good understanding of SEO and accessibility issues.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
